0.1 mg/cm² 40% Platinum on Vulcan - Alkaline Cloth Electrode
A low-cost electrode with great performance for anion exchange membrane fuel cells. It can also be used for alkaline fuel cells or batteries with liquid electrolyte (flow-through or static). This electrode is comprised of a woven carbon cloth substrate and a carbon supported platinum electrocatalyst. This loading is designed for cost sensitive applications where platinum catalyst still plays a primary role in the electrochemical system without compromising the performance. Use of Fumion dispersion within the electrocatalyst layer greatly improves the hydroxyl ion conductivity for the anode and cathode electrochemical reactions and hence superb reaction kinetics. The first of its kind in the fuel cell and battery industries.
The Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) used is a low cost standard carbon cloth with MPL, which is 365 microns thick. Other GDL materials are also available by custom request, as are custom sizes and catalyst loadings.
Includes Fumion post-coat for improved hydroxyl ion transfer at the interphase of membrane and electrode. Fumion anion exchange ionomer is in the bromide form and it needs to be converted to hydroxide form before its testing.
