Advent TPS + BASF GDE HT Fuel Cell MEA combines the Advent's TPS membrane and BASF's electrodes in a single MEA package for superior high temperature fuel cell performance compared to conventional high temperature fuel cell MEA products.  While Advent TPS + BASF GDE HT Fuel Cell MEA product is specifically designed for high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells, other relevant high temperature electrochemical applications may also benefit from this advanced MEA product.  High temperature membrane in this MEA is based on TPS resin (pyridine containing) and it is well known for its capability of offering the highest temperatures for high temperature proton conducting membrane fuel cells (HT-PEMFC or HTPEMFC). This high temperature proton conducting fuel cell MEA does not need water for its ionic conductivity and the TPS membrane that is used in this MEA has excellent thermal and oxidative stability within the rated operational temperature range (120 to 200 ºC).

Advent TPS + BASF GDE HT Fuel Cell MEA has the following excellent specifications:
  • Operates within the temperature range of 120 to 200 ºC
  • It has good acid management
  • It has proton conductivity of 8x10-2 S/cm
  • It has high carbon monoxide tolerance due to its high temperature operation compared to low temperature PEMFCs
