Advent TPS HT H2 Purification MEA is a membrane electrode assembly that can be used with high temperature electrochemical H2 purification devices that utilize a high temperature proton exchange membrane. The polymeric membrane used in this high temperature MEA is based on TPS (pyridine based resin) and this polymer provides capability for extending the operational temperature to 200 ºC and beyond.  Advent TPS HT H2 Purification MEA does not need water for its ionic conductivity and the TPS membrane that is used in this MEA has excellent thermal and oxidative stability within the rated operational temperature range (120 to 200 ºC).

Advent's TPS HT H2 Purification MEA has the following excellent specifications:
  • Operates within the temperature range of 120 to 200 ºC
  • It has good acid management (less leaching of the acid from the membrane)
  • It has a proton conductivity of 8x10-2 S/cm
  • It has high carbon monoxide tolerance due to its high temperature operation capability
  • It has high sulfur tolerance and ideal for purifying reformate streams in order to obtain high purity H2 gas as the output
  • It has robust operation across wide variety of contaminants
