Overview of GDL Types
- Carbon Paper GDLs: Rigid structure with excellent uniformity. Available with or without PTFE treatment and Microporous Layers (MPL).
- Carbon Cloth GDLs: Flexible and highly compressible. Great for applications requiring good mechanical resilience.
- Felts: Very thick and porous — ideal for flow batteries, electrolyzers, and high-mass-transport applications.
- Other Materials: Metal-based options (Nickel, Titanium) for specialized corrosive environments or high conductivity needs.
