Hydrogen Drone

Drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and other aerial vehicles have been used widely for various applications such as oil & gas infrastructure inspection, crude oil storage tank condition monitoring, urban and smart city building and facade inspection, hydropower dam safety inspection, aerial mapping and site planning, mine site planning, vegetation management, high voltage power line inspections, aerial cinematography, perimeter monitoring of critical infrastructures, security monitoring of oil and gas infrastructures, border wall security monitoring, surveillance, and many more.

All the current drones, UAVs, and other aerial vehicles have been using either conventional LiPo batteries or petroleum engines in order to generate the electrical energy needed. Conventional LiPo batteries provide very limited flight times such as 20 minutes to 1 hours (depending on the payload). While petroleum engine based systems can fly longer, the vibration and noise generated by the engine itself drastically limits the type of payload sensors that can be used. There is a critical need for a new power source in order to maximize the use potential of drones, UAVs, and other aerial vehicles.

Ultra lightweight hydrogen fuel cell based power generators (including all the essential balance of plant components) are finally here to power your drones, UAVs, and other aerial vehicles. With hydrogen being the fuel, the flight times of drones, UAVs, and other aerial vehicles can be extended to 3.5 hours. Furthermore, hydrogen powered drones, UAVs, and other aerial vehicles are more quiet and stealthier compared to aerial vehicles using other power generation approaches (such as petroleum engine integrated aerial vehicles).
