AnioMer TC-MS20 is a mechanically reinforced anion exchange membrane designed for alkaline electrochemical applications, including water electrolysis.
It combines SDB’s proprietary polycarbazole-based anion exchange polymer with a porous reinforcing support to deliver high hydroxide ion conductivity, enhanced mechanical strength, and improved dimensional stability during operation.
Key Features
- Mechanically reinforced composite membrane
- High hydroxide ion conductivity
- Good dimensional stability under alkaline conditions
- Reduced swelling behavior
- 20 µm nominal thickness for compact cell designs
User Instructions & Pretreatment
Product State: Delivered dry, attached to a release film. Peel and remove the release film before use.
Initial Form: Supplied in the Br⁻ (bromide) counter-ion form.
Activation Protocol:
- System Circulation: Circulate KOH solution for at least 1 hour before applying voltage or current.
- CCS Testing: Soak the membrane in 1 M KOH for 1 hour prior to use.
Important: Keep the KOH solution strictly isolated from ambient CO₂ during activation to prevent carbonation and loss of ionic conductivity.
