The new electrochemical microclimate humidity controller product from Xergy team is the ideal solution to your moisture or humidity control needs for microclimate applications.  XUMIDOXTM product line offers multiple sizes and compact designs that will meet the most stringent requirements for adjusting the humidity levels existing within a microclimate and are ideal for artifact preservation, food storage, electronics, optics, and various other applications.

XUMIDOR™ XMC-5001 system is one of the highest performing electrochemical humidity control devices in the market and is comprised of the following: an electrochemical cell, a controller, and a power supply.  This humidity control system has the capability of removing or transferring 80 g/day of humidity or moisture from a microclimate environment.  

XUMIDOXTM humidity control system operate on the principal of water electrolysis.  Ambient moisture (that exists within a microclimate) is first broken up into oxygen gas, protons, and electrons at the anode side.  Then, the protons travel across the proton exchange membrane and combine with oxygen on the cathode side.  If the anode side of XUMIDOXTM humidity control system is connected to the microclimate that needs removal of humidity or moisture, then this hardware will act as a dehumidifier for that microclimate.  In short, humidity or moisture depletion or removal will occur at the anode side of the XUMIDOXTM modules.

These performance parameters are based on the following testing conditions: 30 ºC and 60% RH with an enclosure that was tightly sealed.  Nominal operating voltage and current are very much dependent on the humidity of the air that the humidity control module is seeing on the anode side. The higher the humidity at the anode side, the higher the efficiency.
