FC Catalyst's high surface area platinum black catalyst allows for the formation of highly uniform electrode structures and excellent electrochemical performance.
Suggested Uses
Platinum Black is most commonly used for Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell (PEMFC), Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC), Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC), and Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell (PAFC) applications (as the cathode catalyst and/or anode catalyst). In electrolyzers, platinum black is used both for anode and cathode sides, depending on the operational parameters for the electrolyzer hardware. It is also used as a recombination catalyst for hydrogen elimination for high pressure electrolyzers or applications that require the elimination of hydrogen from the gas stream. Platinum on Vulcan can also be used as a building block for sensor elements.
